Almost 1 out of 5 university students in Birmingham are international

In January 2018, we published a story showing that students from abroad represented 18% of the students in Birmingham on 2016-17, according to new data from Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). From the 80,340 students enrolled in the five Birmingham high education centres, 15,005 were international.
